Dr. Peter L. d'Ambrumenil is a Licensed Physician who has a phenomenal experience, spanning more than 20 years, of acting as a Flight Surgeon. He has accordingly facilitated the transfer of sick and injured persons across the world by both air ambulance, and in the cabins of commercial aircraft. This latter area is a speciality and can result in immense savings to those responsible for the payment of such transfers.

He has been involved in the rescue of people involved in serious accidents in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and, as such, was on call for many years to the Ambulance Services to whom he provided emergency medical cover and assistance at serious incidents. This gave him a grounding in acting and decision making in the field.

The hall mark of his professional practice is his ability to diagnose and respond to even the most serious conditions. This combines well with his ability to cope with in-flight problems which, with good pre-assessment, are few.

He holds medical registration in a large number of countries throughout the world, which makes it easier to manage the transfer of patients. He has excellent relationships with the medical departments of a number of major international airlines, which allows him to arrange for the transfer of patients in a manner which might otherwise be problematical.

It is his desire, and the mission of the company, to ensure the highest standards of international transfers, and that these high standards are the norm rather than the exception. It is this which has done much to ensure that the Company is now acknowledged as leader in the field.

Prior to setting up the Company, he has acted as Chief Medical Officer to Loss Adjusters in the travel industry, and thus he is fully conversant with both the wide range of medical problems that can arise in the course of world-wide travel, and the steps that are needed to deal with them. This experience has given him an intimate knowledge of the ways in which the industry works, all of which is of direct benefit when dealing with cases and putting an appropriate course of action to insurers.

He has a considerable reputation for always putting the patient first, and for fighting for their rights. His experience of travelling to the patient, assessing the situation, and setting up any necessary action to minimise further trauma to the patient, is such as to be described as unique.

His opinion is respected by airlines who allow him considerable leeway in making decisions as to who should travel commercially.

He is the holder of a number of visas, including some of the less readily available countries, and this ensures that both he and the company can extricate personnel readily from more exotic and difficult locations.

He undertakes medical examination for professional divers under the HSE regulations.

He is a UK Civil Aviation Authority approved examiner, class one and undertaking JAA class one and two medicals, and also a South African CAA approved medical examiner
